The Dolphins play home games at Sun Life Stadium in the northern suburb of Miami Gardens, and have their headquarters at the Miami Dolphins Training Facility in Davie, Florida.The Dolphins team was founded by Joe Robbie, and began play in the American Football League (AFL) as an expansion team in 1966 – an example of the AFL's expanding into parts of the United States that had not possessed professional football teams (with the exception of the Miami Seahawks, who played in the AAFC in 1946 before becoming the first incarnation of the Baltimore Colts).

He was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played college football at Akron.A six-time Pro Bowl selection, Taylor was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006, and is the NFL's all time leader in fumble return touchdowns (6).Taylor has also played for the Washington Redskins and the New York Jets.
